On 19 March 2010, Edward Stachoń was elected for the sixth term as the President of the Management Board of SSR Gryfia.
Edward Stachoń was born in 1958 in Szczecin. He graduated from the Faculty of Marine Engineering at the Szczecin University of Technology and post-graduate and doctoral studies in company management and economy at the University of Szczecin. In 2004 he defended his doctoral thesis at the Economics and Management Faculty of Szczecin University. He holds and PhD in economics and business organization.
In his career he has been a director at Z.W. Ch. Chemitex-Wiskord SA, chairman of the management boards at ZPO Odra SA (1993-1994), Zakłady Chemiczne Police SA (1994-1998), Waryński-FAMABUD Sp. z o. o. (1998-1999) and Marlex SA (1999-2004). Since 2004, he has been the president of the Management Board of Szczecińska Stocznia Remontowa Gryfia SA. in Szczecin.
His professional achievements include financial restructuring of Waryński-FAMABUD Sp. z o. o., overcoming financial difficulties of Z. Ch. Police SA and conclusion of the Poland biggest bank settlement with creditors to write off the debts of this chemical conglomerate.
He is not related to any trade or political organizations. He says that reliability and responsibility are the most important principles in his life.
